Sanford Greenberg DDS

A Great Smile Says Self-Confidence!

Dr. Sanford Greenberg was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended University of Maryland where he graduated with honors in 1975 with a degree in Biology. He then attended University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. After graduating in 1979, he accepted a position in a large general practice in Chelmsford, Massachusetts where he spent 2 years developing his skills in private practice. In 1981, he decided to open his own office in Amesbury, Massachusetts striving to provide the highest quality family dental care. With over 30 years of clinical experience in all phases of dentistry, cosmetic, restorative, crown and bridge, removable prosthodontics (dentures, partials), endodontic (root canal), TMJ and periodontal therapy, Dr. Greenberg has continued his education in dentistry to provide the latest techniques, including laser treatment and implant prosthodontics. He continues to strive for excellence in all facets of care he and his staff provide. His employees have been with him on average of 20 years so his patients are made to feel that they are part of a family where a personal touch is a key ingredient. It is this personal touch that keeps our patients happy and loyal. We work hard to build a trusting relationship with our patients and they can feel confident they are getting the best dental care. We know that our patients are not just a set of teeth, but people needing to function comfortably and confidently.

Our hygienists, Linnea Mangan, Judy Meredith, and Karen Manis have over 30 years of experience each in their disciplines. They strive to provide our patients with a superior level of care and a gentle touch. Our assistant, Ingrid Taber has over 19 years of experience in her field and brings a very caring approach to our patients’ needs chairside. It is this caring that makes their experience a more comfortable one without fear and anxiety.

Our front desk is efficiently tasked by Rita Provencher. She has been with us for over 20 years and has a level of knowledge and experience that our patients have come to rely on in sorting out the complexities of dental insurance and managing the execution of getting the treatment they need done in a timely fashion.

When you come to our office, we know your name. We take into consideration all aspects and issues you may need help with in getting your dental work completed with an emphasis on helping you with a practical, personalized approach that is based on quality and what will work best for you.

What are the benefits of using dental lasers?

There are several advantages. Dentists may not need to use a drill or administer anesthesia, allowing the patient to enjoy a more relaxed dental experience. Laser procedures can be more precise. Also, lasers can reduce symptoms and healing times associated with traditional therapies; reduce the amount of bacteria in both diseased gum tissue and in tooth cavities; and control bleeding during surgery.
